Oldham cruises into victory lane

Ronnie Oldham, Jr. was the Street Stock winner, turning in a strong performance a week after a mid-race incident interrupted last week’s hunt for victory.
Al Stone III took advantage of his front row starting spot to lead lap 1 before the only caution of the event came out for a fuel leak on the green flag. When the race resumed green, Stone got the jump to take the lead while Oldham moved into second in short order. The race-winning pass came at halfway, and Oldham stretched his lead over the final green flag laps with an impressive win.
Walt Hovey Jr. moved past Stone for second, Stone hung on for third, Brandon Plemons took fourth, while it was returning Speedbowl competitor Ed Puleo finishing fifth. |
