The Bob Valenti Auto Mall Late Model feature had Bruce Thomas Jr. of Groton taking the lead from Jeff Smith of Old Lyme on lap three with an impressive move to the outside. Behind them, Dennis Botticello of Suffield and Tim Jordan of Plainfield raced in third and fourth. Jordan used the outside to claim third, then wasted no time in disposing of Smith the same way to take second on lap six. Up front Thomas had opened up some distance over Jordan by the time he had raced his way into second. Dennis Botticello moved to third when the first caution waved on lap 18 when the Cohanzie safety team was called to action for an emergency situation in the grandstands Following a lengthy delay, Botticello moved to second when racing resumed. Over the remaining seven laps Thomas could not be challenged. He captured his 10th win of the season in the 25-lap event and padded his points lead.
